CalNet Tech Team

Purpose


The CalNet Tech Team brainstorms, discusses, reviews and evaluates technical solutions to identity and access management challenges. The CalNet team brings our latest projects and recommendations to the Tech Team for review, suggests alternative approaches to solving technical problems and asks the group for input, and facilitates conversations that help IST staff and campus developers understand how each other's systems work and the how systems might best interact. The group deals most frequently with operational issues, but also surfaces areas where policy and expectations need clarification.

Membership


The CalNet Tech Team is an open group to which campus technical leads and developers from across campus are invited. Contact calnet-coordinator@berkeley.edu to be added to the meeting schedule.

Meetings


We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of January, March, May, July and September. We usually meet in 300C Warren Hall. There is also a remote dial-in option.

Agendas, slides and other materials from Tech Team meetings are stored online in a shared bDrive folder.
